Summer-League Swimmers it’s time to get your Head Start!
This new LAC program is designed to meet the needs of summer league swimmers by focusing on technique, endurance and fun.Head Start provides an opportunity to work with some of the best USA Swimming coaches in Lancaster. LAC coaches are all provided with the latest teaching tools through the American Swimming Coaches Association. This means that swimmers will learn the most up-to-date techniques available.
LAC’s Head Start offers a great deal of flexibility and is designed for the swimmer who is not yet committed to year-round swimming but wants to prepare for the Summer League season by staying in the water while participating in another Spring sport or for the summer swimmer who wants to train throughout he Spring to be ready to race come Summer!
All ages and abilities are welcome to join this group where the goal is to train swimmers in the LAC tradition of excellent stroke mechanics and technique.Dryland training (core balance) is incorporated to maximize the results of the swim training.
5 days of training are offered per week.At least 3 days per week are recommended to get the full benefit of the program.Training will take place at our indoor facility at the PhoenixAcademy with 1 day of outdoor long course training provided per week during the Summer Session.Swimmers enrolled in this program are welcome to compete in all of the popular long course meets attended by LAC throughout the Spring and Summer.
Participants in LAC’s Age Groups Band Age Group C can continue to train in this program with their LAC coaches and take advantage of the expanded training times.

Advanced Age Group
Designed for the older, more experienced competitive swimmer who is looking to train year-round or at a more competitive level, this group continues to train swimmers in the LAC tradition of excellent stroke mechanics and superior technique.Promotion/Admission to this group will be based on the swimmer’s ability to accomplish training intervals, technique and maturity standards.This group trains indoors, with 1-2 days per week of outdoor long course training introduced in the Summer to prepare for long course meets.
Senior Prep
Designed to take the serious age group competitive swimmer to the next level of training and competition, this group prepares them for training in the Seniorgroup.Swimmers will be placed in this group and/or advance to this group based on the swimmer’s ability to accomplish training intervals, technique and maturity standards.
Senior
Designed for the committed year-round competitive swimmer who is seeking to qualify for Elite Senior USS Meets. Swimmers will be placed in this group and/or advance to this group based on ability to accomplish training intervals, technique and maturity standards.
COLLEGE
LAC welcomes college students, both LAC alumnus and non LAC swimmers, to train with our Senior group over their summer break.College training fees are $100 plus uss fees and they may begin training when possible
